I WILL SING TO THE LORD ALL MY LIFE;

 I WILL SING PRAISE TO MY GOD

AS LONG AS I LIVE

MAY MY MEDITATION BE PLEASING TO HIM,

Psalm 104:33-34

Welcome

Salem Macon Baptist Church is a small, country church with a heart for Jesus and the truth of His Word. We would love for you to join us as we study the Word of God, learn more about Him, worship Him collectively, and leave to serve Him better equipped from our time encouraging one another.

Our current focus on Sunday mornings in Sunday School has been Jeremiah, which concludes this week with Lamentations. During worship, we are diving deeply into Hebrews, continuing our study in chapter 12 as we learn more about keeping our eyes on Jesus.

Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. we meet to continue our journey through the Psalms (currently in Ps. 105) and then pray for each other and help bear one another's burdens. It is a sweet hour of prayer indeed!

Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. there are two groups (one comprised of men & the other of ladies) that meet to open the Bible and study the Word of God together and encourage one another. All ages and stages are welcome!

We hope to see you this week!
We invite you to watch the sermons if you are unable to meet with the body. They will be updated weekly.

THE GOSpel of Jesus christ

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the “Good News” that God provided the Way for us to be reconciled to Him, to be with Him in eternity, and to have abundant life (John 10:10).  Sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, and all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23). Sin cannot exist in God's holy presence. For us to be freed from the wages of sin, which is death (Romans 6:23), we are in need of a Savior. God sent His Son into the world to be the propitiation (atoning sacrifice) for our sins         (1 John 4:10) and demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8), but that is not the end of the story! Jesus rose from the dead (Matthew 28:6) and ascended to God the Father. He was received into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God (Mark 16:19). Jesus is the perfect, sinless, and acceptable sacrifice to Holy God for our sins.
